Nautilus
Equipment
Many of our facilities have therapy gyms outfitted with
Nautilus® strength training equipment to help residents regain
mobility and stay active. The Nautilus® equipment helps
strengthen and train to build muscle, improve mobility,
distance, flexibility and functional independence. With the
guidance of our licensed physical and occupational therapists,
our short term and long term residents have a great opportunity
to enjoy improvement.
The Balance
Center
Balance problems can cause profound disruptions in daily
life. Our state-of-the-art computerized equipment enables our
therapists to accurately assess a resident's ability to maintain
balance and minimize the risk of falls. The therapists are
specially trained in balance re-training. With the Balance
Master® our therapists guide our residents through interactive,
functional training exercises using visual biofeedback, coupled
with sensitive, real-time monitoring of movement. This assists
residents in more quickly improving their balance skills.
Exercise protocols available on the Balance Master® can be
tailored to meet each individual’s needs and are modified as
capabilities improve.
