It’s National Nurses Week! In 1993, May 6th – 12th was declared as National Nurses Week (NNW)! NNW concludes on May 12th; Florence Nightingale’s birthday. Florence Nightingale is considered the founder of nursing. She is also known as the “Lady with the Lamp,” for when she would make nighttime trips to attend to those injured during the Crimean War.

According to the American Nurses Association (ANA), there are currently four million registered nurses within America. With that, the ANA’s theme for National Nurses Week is, “4 Million Reasons to Celebrate.” During National Nurses Week, celebrate and thank nurses for their efforts that inspire us every day! We at Legacy Health Services thank you for your incredible contributions!
