Each year, the Walk to End Alzheimer’s takes place! The Alzheimer’s Association created their Walk to End Alzheimer’s to spread awareness around Alzheimer’s care, research, and support. Over 600 communities within America will support the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. 

 

What is the Walk to End Alzheimer’s? 

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s supports the Alzheimer’s Association for Alzheimer’s care, research, and support. By donating to and walking in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, this helps with the Alzheimer’s Association’s overall mission while raising awareness.

Did you know, according to the Alzheimer’s Association, that:

  • Between 2000 and 2017, deaths from Alzheimer’s have increased by 145 percent?
  • Almost two-thirds of Americans with Alzheimer’s disease are women? 
  • One in three seniors dies with Alzheimer’s or another dementia?
  • Alzheimer’s disease is the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States?
  • More than 5 million Americans are living with the disease?
  • There are more than 16 million caregivers of people living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias in the United States?
